What Will Be Fashionable In The Summer

During two months of the European summer, fashion producer and creator of the lefreak.cl site, Valentina Ríos, toured the streets of Madrid, Berlin, London, Paris and Barcelona, in addition to attending music festivals and the catwalks of Burberry and Topshop . The objective was to feed on fresh and essential information for her work, which she summarizes here in seven guidelines that will mark this season.
Patches and badges, like those on boy scout shirts, but worn on all kinds of clothing, such as t-shirts, pullovers, jeans jackets, pants and bags. A few seasons ago it was a resource used by 3.1 Phillip Lim and DKNY, and now reversed in the streets and on the catwalk with key garments such as some launched by Levi's, Marc Jacobs' baggy jeans, covered in patches and prints with references to aesthetics. from the Japanese manga, and the patch-riddled wallet created by English accessories designer Anya Hindmarch.
THE DENIM
Denim, a material that is reinvented every season, is experiencing a new chapter in its existence this summer that comes to succeed that of worn-out jeans and that of holes in the knees. These are the cut jeans, the work of the pair of English designers who make up the Marques Almeida brand, admirers of the aesthetics of the 90s and the refined grunge, and who made pants that, instead of ending in the traditional coarse, show a Straight frayed cut. That was the uniform of many of the assistants to the catwalks of the European fashion weeks, especially in London, with more radical versions: mid-cut pants, and dresses and jeans jackets passed by determined scissors.
CHARACTERISTICS SUPERMARKE
The characteristics of the supermarket are the portfolios that recreate the imagery or aesthetics of the packaging of products found in supermarkets, some of which are already part of the pop art iconography. It was with this clear reference that the German designer Karl Lagerfeld set up a colorful supermarket as the presentation stage for the Chanel autumn-winter 2014 collection. That was the starting point of this fashion of wallets that replicate the shapes and images of meat trays and milk boxes, among others. To this trend was added the English Anya Hindmarch, who together with the cereal brand Kellogg's created a capsule collection, as fun as it is nostalgic for childhood, with pieces such as "Fashion Flakes", a portfolio with the tiger of corn flakes made in blue leather and on one side the feline Tony. The pieces, created for London Fashion Week, were put on sale at very specific points in that city and at Colette, the famous design, fashion and pop store in Paris.
WHITE ON BLACK
Nothing more elegant and fresh than the combination of white on white, a classic resource, on the one hand, and minimalist from the 90s, on the other, which for this season coincided with the proposals of Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and, even , the avant-garde Marc by Marc Jacobs. The white on white of the summer 2015 mixes different textures and uses layers.
SKIRT PANTS
The skirt skirt, or culotte, is now the retro-inspired piece that modernizes the closet, especially if it's made of leather or worn as a two-piece suit in combination with a blazer. An ode to Japanese deconstructivism in the 1980s; the glorious return of a forgotten item. During the London summer it was seen in women and men.
